Composer Nicklas Schmidt

The Great Bear (orig. title Den kæmpestore bjørn) is a new Danish animation feature film directed by Esben Toft Jacobsen.
Nicklas Schmidt composed the orchestral score, recorded by the National Danish Symphony Orchestra DR.
The film has been selected for competition at the 2011 Berlinale and will open in Danish Cinemas 10th February.

In St. Petersburg Nicklas Schmidt was nominated for a 2010 Golden Sofit Award - st. Petersburg's most prestigeous theatre award.
The nomination was for the music written for "the Snow Queen", that premiered on the Skazki Childrens Theatre, directed by Igor Ignachev.
